The Barbershop Bar

The Barrelhouse Group wanted to create a whiskey & cocktail bar that was reminiscent of the prohibition era. This quirky tenancy in 89 York Street offered the perfect chance to create a hidden bar at the rear of an operating barbershop. Using recovered trinkets, refurbished treasures and robust new items the fit out of this unique space captures a breadth of history and adds a hidden gem to Sydney’s bar scene.
