The Bolt Hole

Liquid Design was engaged by the operator or the Bolt Hole to transform a tired space into an exciting bar that would be unique to the Byron Bay bar scene. Naturally, in this fit out we selected locally sourced, recycled materials and the operator further reduced the carbon footprint by eliminating beer taps. The implementation of a solid spandrel section over what were full height windows make this space into a refuge for Byron locals. Tucked behind an old church door, The Bolt Hole is an intimate, warmly lit space with rustic timber detailing, industrial copper features and bespoke bar furniture featuring repurposed industrial equipment.
